The T-R Tester measures the rate of recovery from elongation when a test piece
elongated to a specified extent and frozen is heated up gradually. The equipment
comes in 2 types: (1) the automatic type, which uses an encoder to measure the
elongation mechanism and recovery rate of the test piece and uses a computer to
process the data; and (2) the manual type, which visually takes measurements of
the recovery rate from the scale dial. The automatic type comes in 2 types: the
type that uses a refrigerator to automatically perform all operations beginning
from cooling and the type with dry ice cooling
